The New York Wing is the Commemorative Air Force (CAF) regional representative for the New York metropolitan area. The CAF is the world's largest flying museum. It operates in a unique, decentralized structure that allows Units to pursue warbird rides, pilot sponsorship, airshow appearances, and other specialized ways of supporting their historic aircraft. This means that while you can't always come to visit us at our home base, we keep our airplane flying around the region to bring it to you! We are all volunteers and welcome those who want to join us and get involved!

Paula's Runway Cafe More Info

May 2-4, 2024 The New York Wing is excited to be able to share our PT-26 with the general public through warbird rides, available both at our home base in Poughkeepsie and throughout the Northeastern United States. The classic experience of a ride in a World War II veteran airplane is something that you will never forget.

Our rides are low-intensity and do not involve dynamic maneuvering or aerobatics; the canopy also gives passengers the option of choosing to feel the breeze or not. Passengers must be at least 12 years old, with a maximum weight of 300 pounds; rides are paid in-person via cash or credit/debit card.
