Scenic Night Flights in Historic Aircraft Offered Select Fridays in May
April 26, 2021, (Mesa, Arizona)- The CAF Airbase Arizona Flying Museum is offering two spectacular scenic night flights on May 7 and 21 at 7:30 p.m. which offer unique and inspiring views of the Valley of the Sun at night, including cityscapes and desert. The flight will take place in a historic C-47 Skytrain, that once dropped a paratrooper assault on Sicily during World War II.
The aircraft, nicknamed Old Number 30, has been meticulously maintained and updated in flying condition and features an executive interior offering comfortable viewing of the valley from the air. Minimum age for flights is five years old and those under 12 must be accompanied by their parent or guardian.
The desert camouflage aircraft will launch from historic Falcon Field in Mesa, Arizona, after passenger processing and flight briefing. Passengers should plan on spending one to two hours at the CAF Airbase Arizona, including the flight. There is ample free parking.
