Rise Above Online Educational Resources Available Now
March 17, 2020- The CAF Rise Above Traveling Exhibit tour schedule has been significantly impacted by the current public health recommendations. Many of the scheduled events for the next few weeks have been canceled or postponed. Through the years CAF RISE ABOVE has developed lots of activities and programs to go along with the physical traveling trailer and aircraft tour. You are able to access many wonderful online resources created to share World War II aviation, inspiring people of all ages to achieve their dreams by telling the stories of the Tuskegee Airmen and Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP). Their strength of character, courage and ability to triumph over adversity may serve as a means to inspire others to RISE ABOVE obstacles in their own lives and achieve their goals.
The CAF RISE ABOVE website www.cafriseabove.org has a wealth of information about the Tuskegee Airmen and the WASP and offers resources for educators, youth leaders and parents. The following assets are available to either download or view online:
Our free, downloadable RISE ABOVE Resource Kits at www.redtail.org and at www.cafriseabove.org provides users access to posters featuring the Six Guiding Principles, PowerPoint’s, classroom activities and a wealth of material about the Tuskegee Airmen or the WASP.
The online VIRTUAL MUSEUM. Not a physical collection, the CAF Red Tail Squadron’s VIRTUAL MUSEUM also at www.riseabove.org is a community collaborative effort, made up of photos and information of artifacts pertaining to the Tuskegee Airmen submitted from all around the country. Anyone with an item of significance to the Tuskegee Airmen, or has visited the location of a memorial in tribute to the Tuskegee Airmen, can share their knowledge by submitting to the VIRTUAL MUSEUM.
PROFILES OF TUSKEGEE AIRMEN is also available at www.redtail.org enables us to feature stories of individual Airmen – both pilots and support personnel. These stories are added as we obtain information so we invite you and anyone who may have documentation or photos to send them to us.
