Roswell, NM.(March 13,2025) – The National Championship Air Races (NCAR) has announced that tickets are available for its inaugural 2025 event at the Roswell Air Center in Roswell, New Mexico. From Wednesday, Sept. 10 to Sunday, Sept. 14, fans from all over the world can experience seven classes of racing as pilots compete for the coveted gold trophy, in addition to visiting static and military displays, vendors, food booths and more. “We’ve been working tirelessly for two years to bring this beloved and historic event to a new home and now that tickets are on sale, we’re excited to share it with New Mexico,” said Tony Logoteta, COO of the National Championship Air Races. “This is not only a new chapter for our organization but the start of a bold new era for the sport. Roswell provides us with an incredible backdrop and the opportunity to elevate the experience for fans, pilots and the aviation community. We can’t wait for everyone to see the Roswell course, feel the energy of the competition and be a part of history as we bring the thrill of racing to New Mexico.”

A variety of ticket packages are available online now at early bird prices. From single day tickets to weeklong and VIP packages, there are plenty of options for families, fans and road trippers alike to be a part of the inaugural air races in Roswell. Additionally, immense excitement for the event has led to an almost complete buy-out of hotels in Roswell. It is highly encouraged to take advantage of the event’s increased RV camping availability, providing attendees with the easiest way to travel to and attend the air races with plenty of space. For those looking for hotels or short-term rentals, surrounding towns such as Artesia, Ruidoso, Carlsbad and Portales also have lodging availability. Furthermore, attendees who wish to personally fly to Roswell can reserve their spots at Avflight’s website here.

“Moving to Roswell has given us the opportunity to see how we can expand the NCAR experience for both attendees and pilots alike. We’re especially excited to offer attendees more camping options and seeing how it adds to the NCAR experience,” said Fred Telling, CEO of the organization. “We’ll still see the same competitive flying from all seven classes but with new vendors, exhibits and a gorgeous New Mexico backdrop. We believe both long-time fans and new attendees will see how thrilling it is to hold the races in such an iconic location like Roswell.”

The 2025 event is set to return with more than 100 planes and pilots as well as several ‘hands-on’ displays and experiences including the STEM Education Discovery Zone, heritage displays, military demonstrations and static displays and more. The event will also mark the fourth year of competition for the STOL (Short Take-Off and Landing) Drag which has become a phenomenon both in the skies and on social media.
