Beyond the Horizon Airshow Gets Great Reviews and Stellar Images
Maxwell AFB, Alabama, April 5, 2024 - Maxwell Air Force Base's Beyond the Horizon air show, organized by CAF member Lt. Col. Matt Ziemann, USAF, showcased incredible performers, like the U.S. Navy's Blue Angels and U.S. Army's Golden Knights, but it was the homage paid to military aviation history that truly stood out.
The Commemorative Air Force Red Tail Squadron highlighted the event, along with the 99th Flying Training Squadron, Alabama Air National Guard's 187th Fighter Wing, and the F-35 from the 100th Fighter Squadron. The presence of 3 out of 4 Tuskegee fighter squadrons, with a nod to CAF Airbase Georgia's PT-19 trainer, added historical depth. Photographer Douglas Glover captured the poignant moment, expressing gratitude to all involved for the humbling experience.
