12 Planes of Christmas is here!
Dallas, TX (December 1, 2022) - A Letter from CAF President Hank Coates:
Dear CAF Members and Supporters,
By now, you all know about the accident that occurred at the Wings Over Dallas WWII Airshow in November that took the lives of the six members of the aircrew. There was a lot of deliberation deciding whether or not to have this fundraising campaign this year. Ultimately, we came to the conclusion that we should move forward with the 12 Planes of Christmas campaign for 2022. This event has become a tradition that closes out the year and allows us to shine a light on so many important aircraft being cared for by CAF members nationwide. We are leaning into our values and will continue with our traditions, most importantly our mission to educate, inspire, and honor through flight.
Each year, we feature 12 aircraft that are currently undergoing or will soon need extensive restoration work, and we ask for your support. In addition to learning about the funding needs for each airplane, I hope you will enjoy getting to know each aircraft’s history and seeing our vision for its future as a living piece of history. We send out a number of emails during the campaign. This year, we've added a link toward the bottom of each email that lets you opt out of the 12 Planes of Christmas emails for 2022.
I encourage everyone to take a moment to show their support for the 12 Planes of Christmas campaign. With each gift, you are helping to save a significant piece of history and keep the legacy of the Greatest Generation in the hearts and minds of Americans of all ages.
Let's Keep 'em Flying!
